KELLY WEARSTLER STYLE

  |   INTERIORS AND DESIGN

For Kelly Wearstler style comes so naturally that it imbues every decorative bauble and every structured piece of furniture that she creates. History will certainly refer to Wearstler’s modern and eclectic vision not only as a personal expression of good taste but as a nomenclature of a certain generational style which is now firmly ensconced in today’s design vernacular.

For Fall 2015,  the doyen of Southern California interior  design doesn’t disappoint with a graphically bold furniture collection tempered by luxurious shades of grey, gold, and silver. Featured here is the Larchmont chair with its mixed media design and pewter patina legs sheeted in burnished bronze finished brass. Its curved tight upholstered back is complimented by an exterior skinned in leather or shearling. Our next highlight is the ultimate homage to Ms. Wearstler’s passion for luxurious materials, contrasts, and luscious textures in the form of her Alta coffee table- a sculptural yet raw cylindrical drum composed of brass sheeting and formed around a single, honed and sealed marble top in Negro Marquina or White Venatino stone. If you have a room that is crying for a  focal piece that also provides clever storage, the Huntley cabinet offers it all. With clean lines that are more retro that minimalist, its alternating panels of white parchment and contrasting clear and champagne colored seeded mirrored glass give an eclectic touch to both modern and contemporary environments.  The stacked trio of walnut drawers as well as the cabinet’s shelved interior proffers plenty of ways to tuck away one’s affairs.
